Inspiration

Created to hold space for grief and healing.

Abstract painting of a church-like structure with a tower and arched entrance in muted earth tones on a textured canvas, displayed on a small easel with a string of gray beads in the foreground.
Miniature painting of a snow-covered scene with bare tree branches and a heart shape in the sky.
A square painting of a person's face with dark hair, using abstract textures and shades of gray, white, and black, displayed on a stand outdoors. There is a small potted plant and a lit candle in front of the painting, with trees and sky in the background.

Artistic Themes and Symbols

Recurring themes appear throughout my artwork to reflect different elements of grief:

  • Stripes, dots, and irregular shapes – the tension between chaos and order

  • Bandage imagery – being beautifully broken and learning acceptance

  • Tears and tissues – representing both sorrow and the unexpected gifts of support

  • White hearts – inspired by the white heart emojis sent by friends and loved ones

  • Negative space – honoring emptiness while allowing room to continue forward

  • Calming earthy neutral- colors of blues, greens, grays, beige, tans, browns, white and black.

Brand Purpose

At Callam Laine, the goal is not only to create beautiful artwork but to offer meaningful pieces that acknowledge grief while encouraging hope and healing.

Through art, I hope to remind others that they are not alone on their road.
